I just want to say it was a joy to hang up my husband’s shirts, which I did immediately after opening up the (very nice and sturdy!) box.
We’ve never seen his shirts and suit jackets looking correct on their hangers, and I plan on buying more and hanging all of his
t-shirts up as well. Speaking of jackets and to some extent, T-shirts, have you ever thought of making a Mr. Big XL coat hanger
or a lightweight, shaped-shoulder hanger for tees? Thanks again so much, these hangers exemplify the little (or XL!) things in life
that can make such a difference.

Thank you Casey, these hangers are excellent for T-shirts, polo shirts, any shirts, tops, even dresses but not exactly for suit jackets. I have thought about making a suit hanger but after testing i realized several things. Suits and blazer type jackets need a contoured hanger, one that curves forward, and is thicker. It's because of the layers and padding that are sewn into these garments. However, all shirts, dress shirts, T-shirts, polos, jackets (cotton, fleece, etc.) do not require forward contoured hangers because they are single layer or not padded for a 3D type look.

And although the contoured hangers i use with my suits are not 22" wide, they seem to practically reach the sleeve line of my suit jackets and do not create lumps. For now i recommend wood contoured hangers for these garments, and the MrBigXL hanger for everything else, including women's wear.

Would these work for a 4XL shirt? My son is big and needs something for his good shirts beside the wal-mart things that keeps him
looking as though he will by flying off.

Hi Rahja, these were designed for XL and XXL, they will work better than anything else i've seen for larger sizes too.
You can take a tape measure to the 4XL shirt and see how it will fit. The MrBigXL hangers are 22.5" wide at the tips. thanks Richard

These hangers look to be just what I've been looking for. My husband is not tall, but he does have wider shoulders than many guys
his height. My only question is about the slipping that may occur. He has some felt, puffy hangers and they keep the shoulder
from slipping off the end. The ones I have, however are too narrow. Do your hangers have texture to keep this sliding problem to a minimum?

Hi Bev, yes there is a fine texturing on the upper side of the arms of our hangers, it prevents slipping even on thin pieces like women's wear.
The width of these hangers also spreads the contact with the shirt over a larger area, and it hangs more naturally without movement from everything i've seen.

My husband wears an XXL in shirts. I am having his closet organized by California Closets.  Currently, his clothes are too long
and that is part of the reason I am having his closet re-configured.  My question to you is - The clothing rack is out 11 inches
from the wall. That tells me that your hanger may hit the wall because it is 22 1/2".  Plus your hanger is 10" high.
Does that mean once again his clothes would drag the floor?  I would appreciate any education that you can give me on the subject.

Hi Lori, if the distance to the wall is at least 12" from the centerline of the clothes rod, it should be fine but you want a gap
to the wall for the sleeves. The top of hook is about 5" higher than the collar of most shirts so it depends how tall his longest shirt is, hope that helps! -Richard

Hi!  From your testimonials, I gather your hangers are 22" long.  How wide are they?  I have over a hundred shirts and need to

Hi David, the hangers are precisely .4" wide (7/16" or 11mm).  I've found that many shirts can be hung, up to 25 shirts
per 12" of hanger rod, or 100 per 4'.  Shirts don't need thick hangers like suits do.  thanks -Richard

I received my order of XL-hangers today just in time for ironing day.  My husband's shirts now hang the way a shirt should hang.
